Team Nitro LI 16U Futures is a team of players born in 2011 or 2012 who have developed into one of the premier travel ball teams from Long Island. They are playing a very agressive schedule of tournament both on Long Island and off. Their mission is to continue to play and improve in the best tournaments in the North East and start the showcasing process to play in college.
The team is head coached by Anthony ‘Coach Caz’ Casalino. He is regarded as one of the best fastpitch coaches and instructors on LI bring his 20 years of coaching travel ball experience to a team at this level. He has coached at every level of travel ball and is currently the Head Coach of the 18U Gold team that places players into colleges to play softball and more importantly get an education. He is also the co-owner of 88 Stitches Fastpitch Training Center located in Deer Park LI, NY.
This team will participate in an all tournament schedule playing both on and off Long Island. On Long Island they will only play in 18U tournaments while off LI they will compete at 16U in the premier toutnaments. They will be begin the recruiting process durng the fall of 2026 and ramp up the efforts each year their after eventually becoming the 18U Gold team.
